Starting a Business in Spain
Due to the extensive bureaucracy involved when registering a Spanish business or achieving self-employed status, we recommend that you engage the services of a gestor (a person who specialises in dealing with paperwork). Their fees are good value when compared to the time and effort it would take you to complete all the relevant documentation.
Be aware that Gestors are not Tax consultants or Lawyers and only specialise in certain paperwork.
You should chose to be either self-employed or form a company and will need to register with the tax authorities.
You will also be required to submit your own quarterly and end of year tax returns. You will need an independent accountant to assist you with this.
